Monthly Meetings are held at Cedars Bar, Salisbury Golf Centre. Skew Bridge, Wilton road, Salisbury, Wiltshire, SP29NY.

On every third Tuesday unless otherwise stated on the Club Calander. Starts approx 8.00pm .

Jan Meeting.  A good turn out on a mild winters night, this month was membership renewal and a film. After the memberships were renewed, there was a video film about one of the clubs early rally`s at Teffont. thanks to noel and Keith for sorting it. After a short committee meeting Dan announced this years activity's, Feb. mystery object night, March, Quiz, April, Bingo. May rockerbox race, June, social, July, BBQ, August, GDSF. Sept. social, Oct. Skittles. Nov. AGM. Dec. Xmas dinner. He also made it clear that your club insurance was only valid if you followed the correct procedure( please ask for more details if not sure) He then went on to enplane about rockerbox racing, rules to follow shortly. finally he reminded you that the club will be having a section at this years Wessex show at Wilton house on 4th Aug if you are interested.    

Feb meeting. Very good turn out . Mystery object night .A full table of objects to identify . Following a short committee meeting, the club announced they will be changing insurance providers. You will all be given copy's of the new cert if required following the march meeting. The committee also raised the age of any children included in a family membership to 18.  The date of the sort out is 13th April . next month will be the Dan/Kevin quiz. Don`t forget to build your rocker box for the may meeting, Dan has built the track . GDSF white forms are now available to fill in to be considered for this years show.  

March Meeting. Good turn out For the quiz evening. The white GDSF forms were returned and Rob handed out the Pink entry forms to be filled in and returned no later than the May meeting. Anyone wishing to exhibit at the GDSF that has not previously done so with the swaps club should contact the club ASAP. Then it was the quiz, 20 questions from Kevin and 19 from Dan. The winner was Frank on 23, second was Mathew on 22, and third was noel and his crew on 19. well done. Next month is Dans Bingo. Also next month 13th April is our first vintage spares sort out. The new club public liability insurance certificates are available on request.            

Somersets Festival of Transport  24/25th Sept 2016.  This weekend 9 members of SWAPS received "Best in show" cup for their exhibit at this years Festival of Transport near Wincanton.  The collection was organised by Dan and we were given our own corner of the show ground to display are farm and forest display.  

South Wiltshire Agricultural Preservation Society After the 2017 AGM we had a open dissuasion regarding the running of a SWAPS open day at the Salisbury livestock market early next year. The feedback and support from the members present was very positive.So as soon as we have a available date from the market we will let you all know. Hopefully it will be march-April before you all go rallying. It will be free to the public with the use of the canteen and the toilets. So come on. we are looking for displays, tractors, cars, motorcycles, stationary engines, rural crafts, working or static. All members welcome.


The club receive an invite to exhibit at The Great Dorset Steam Fair each year. This is the largest event of its type in Europe and runs for 5 days following the August bank holiday. The club enters under the banner of FARM and FOREST and have many working exhibits on show in the open as well as in the marque. Entry forms for this event are available from Rob Mullins (club member)  Being a club member does not automatically entitle you to exhibit. All entry's will be considered by the committee and GDSF appointed staff. Due to health and safety rules , no entrant under the age of 14 can be excepted.
