On every third Tuesday unless otherwise stated on the Club Calander. Starts approx 8.00pm .

Oct Meeting.  Very good turn out of regulars on a damp night. Thanks to Rod for a very interesting talk on the Farris shepherds hut that he owns and restored. Including a short you-tube clip of the restored van as well as photo`s to accompany the talk. The xmas dinner menus were given out along with this months news letter. Helpers were sorted for the Oct sort out. Next month is the club AGM. see you all then.  

  Nov meeting was AGM and was well attended. new committee elected with one new name. Jade Hammond is now the 7th committee member. Welcome aboard Jade. following the AGM there was a meeting regarding next years GDSF. anyone wishing to exhibit will have to fill in a white entry form in full before they can receive the pink GDSF form. This will give us a idea of entrys and space required. If you would like to enter the 50th GDSF and require a form. Please email the club ASAP as they need to be returned no later than Jan 16th 2018. next mouth is the xmas dinner at The Swan. Then its back to the Cedars for 2018.    

Jan Meeting and a very good turnout. Was good to see you returned your GDSF forms in full. Thanks, Unfortunately Keith was not able to make it due to illness so all membership renewal will now be Feb. This years calendar is as follows Feb. Mystery Object, March, Quiz, April, Bingo, May, social, June, Golf, July, BBQ, August, Social (second tue) Sept, Games evening, Oct, Speaker, Nov,AGM, Dec, Dinner. The club openday/crankup at the salisbury livestock market is going to be end april, date to follow soon. The date of the first sort out will also be announced very shortly.

Somersets Festival of Transport  24/25th Sept 2016.  This weekend 9 members of SWAPS received "Best in show" cup for their exhibit at this years Festival of Transport near Wincanton.  The collection was organised by Dan and we were given our own corner of the show ground to display are farm and forest display.  

South Wiltshire Agricultural Preservation Society After the 2017 AGM we had a open dissuasion regarding the running of a SWAPS open day at the Salisbury livestock market early next year. The feedback and support from the members present was very positive.So as soon as we have a available date from the market we will let you all know. Hopefully it will be march-April before you all go rallying. It will be free to the public with the use of the canteen and the toilets. So come on. we are looking for displays, tractors, cars, motorcycles, stationary engines, rural crafts, working or static. All members welcome.


The club receive an invite to exhibit at The Great Dorset Steam Fair each year. This is the largest event of its type in Europe and runs for 5 days following the August bank holiday. The club enters under the banner of FARM and FOREST and have many working exhibits on show in the open as well as in the marque. Entry forms for this event are available from Rob Mullins (club member)  Being a club member does not automatically entitle you to exhibit. All entry's will be considered by the committee and GDSF appointed staff. Due to health and safety rules , no entrant under the age of 14 can be excepted.
